Privacy
Planning a wedding or event means trusting me with names, family details and some of your favorite memories. This page explains what I collect, why, who helps me handle it, and how to ask me to change or delete it. “I” and “me” mean Redcloud Events, based in Colorado Springs.
This website
redcloudevents.com has no analytics, advertising trackers or cookies. Like any website, the server keeps short-term technical logs of requests (such as IP address, browser and the page asked for) to keep the site secure and working.
The inquiry form doesn’t send anything by itself. It opens your own email app with your message ready to send to hello at redcloudevents dot com. That address forwards to my email inbox through Cloudflare.
Planning your event
Once we’re working together, I’ll send you private links to plan, sign your agreement and, after the event, share a testimonial if you’d like. Through those links you, and anyone you choose to share planning with, may give me:
- names, pronunciations, email addresses and phone numbers
- your date, venues, times and guest details
- the names and roles of your wedding party, family or other key people
- music you love (and music you don’t), playlists and notes
- photos you choose to share
I use this only to plan and perform your event and to stay in touch with you about it. I don’t sell it, and I don’t share it for advertising.
Agreements and payments
When you sign your agreement electronically, I keep a record of who signed, when, and from what IP address and browser, so there’s proof of what was agreed. Payments are handled by Stripe. I never see or store your full card or bank details.
Testimonials and photos
If you send a testimonial or photos through your private link, nothing is published until I’ve reviewed it and chosen what to show. Photos are re-saved when they arrive, which removes hidden location data. You can ask me to take your words or photos down at any time.
Who helps me
A few trusted services store or carry this information for me, under their own privacy and security terms:
- Supabase, which holds my planning database
- my server host, where the planning app runs and files such as photos are kept
- Stripe, for payments and invoices
- Cloudflare, for secure connections, protection and email forwarding
- Google, for my email and for signing in my small team
- Spotify and Apple Music, only to search for songs while we build your playlist
Inside Redcloud Events, only I and a small, trusted team who help me test the planning app and cover emergencies can see your planning details.
How long I keep it
I keep planning details while we’re working together and for a reasonable time afterward, in case you book me again. Signed agreements and payment records are kept as long as tax and legal record-keeping requires. Backups are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of what I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete anything I’m not required to keep. Email hello at redcloudevents dot com and I’ll take care of it.
Details about children, such as a flower girl’s name, come only from the families planning with me, and are used only for the event.
Keeping it safe
Connections are encrypted, planning links are private and hard to guess, and my side of the planning app sits behind sign-in. If a link is ever shared further than you meant, tell me and I’ll replace it so the old one stops working.
Changes
If I change how I handle information, I’ll update this page and the date at the top. Questions are always welcome at hello at redcloudevents dot com.
